A three-month intensive in software engineering, Web3, design, multimedia, solar and electrical technology, fabrication and agribusiness — taught practically, and finished with a real project and a route to business ownership.
A practical skills and enterprise academy for people who intend to work.
Core promise
Learn it. Practise it. Build it. Sell it. Leave with a practical route to business ownership.
WhiteBay Academy is a practical skills and enterprise-development programme designed for school leavers and other young people who need a direct pathway into productive work, self-employment and business ownership. The programme runs for three intensive months and combines classroom instruction, workshop practice, experiments, individual assignments, group projects, field exposure and real business development.
We do not measure success by certificates alone. Every learner should graduate with demonstrated competence, completed projects, a portfolio, basic business systems and a realistic plan for earning income or establishing a workshop, farm, service company or technology venture.
Programme philosophy
Practical competence before certification.
Every theory lesson connects to a demonstration, exercise or project.
Students learn individually and collaboratively, so no learner is left behind.
Training reflects current tools, methods, customer expectations and safety standards.
Every skill is taught with costing, marketing, customer service and business management.
Cross-department projects solve real community or business problems.
Training Departments
Eight departments. One standard.
Choose a principal pathway and a supporting skill. Every department is project-centric and taught alongside costing, marketing and business management.
Technology & Digital
Software, Web3 and the creative digital trades — build, ship and sell digital products.
Web Development
Analyse problems and build, test, deploy and support practical digital products as a professional full-stack developer.

Smart farm project
Agriculture manages production, solar students provide power, software students build the records system, multimedia markets the produce and building students construct supporting facilities.
Small-business launch
A trade student produces a product or service while multimedia and software teams create the branding, online presence and customer systems around it.
Community solar hub
Electrical students execute the technical installation, building students fabricate the supports, and the digital teams document and promote the project.

The WhiteBay Standard
Why learn with WhiteBay?
We provide a learning environment built around execution, accountability, and community.
Practical Curriculum
No generic tutorials. Sixty percent of your time is practical and fieldwork, mapped to real commercial standards.
Industry Mentors
Learn directly from builders — engineering leads, smart contract developers, designers and working tradespeople.
Hands-on Projects
Cement theory through creation. Every module ends in something you built, installed, produced or shipped.
Portfolio Development
Exit with a robust collection of proof-of-work. Show employers and customers exactly what you can build.
Earned Certification
Certification requires attendance, safety compliance, completed practical work and a satisfactory final project — never attendance alone.
Career & Community Support
Exclusive channels, hackathons, job opportunities, resume clinics and business-development guidance after you graduate.
Support that continues after graduation
Skill alone does not create a business. These are the structures we build around every cohort.
Instructors with current industry experience
Department leads and practical instructors who still work in the field they teach.
Partnerships for real fieldwork
Workshops, farms, technology companies, solar firms and local businesses host students on live work.
A pathway to ownership
Starter-kit, apprenticeship, cooperative and microfinance routes so graduates can start trading.
Six months of follow-up
Graduates are tracked for at least six months with mentorship, referrals and business-development support.
Instructors
Meet the people teaching you.
Working professionals — engineers, designers, agripreneurs and creators — sharing hands-on, real-world experience.
